Hours:

 

The Galesburg Railroad Museum is open for the season. We are open Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m..WE REQUIRE PEOPLE WHO COME TO VISIT TO WEAR MASKS!! We are available for tours of the museum the rest of week by appointment weather permitting.  Cars unavailable in inclement weather. Please call 309-368-2858.

 

Admission:

 

Adults $6; Children $3 (ages 8 to 16) (ages 7 and under free with paid adult)

 

Parking:

 

Available in the city parking lots on Seminary Street and on Mulberry Street

 

Accessibility:

 

The collections and exhibits located inside the Museum Building are handicapped accessible; however, the Locomotive 3006 and the rest of the Rolling Stock are not.

Events 

GALESBURG RAILROAD MUSEUM IS RAFFLING OFF ROUND TRIP TICKETS FOR TWO:

1st drawing (the breakfast train) Galesburg to kewanee and returning and $50 cash

2nd drawing (shopping trip) galesburg to macomb and returning and $50 cash

tickets are on sale now at the museum Tickets are $5.00 each.

drawing will be on saturday, june 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.

Need not be present to win.  only 100 tickets for each drawing will be sold.

 

There will be regular rail yard tours on friday, June 24th and Saturday, June 25th each hour from noon to 4 p.m.  tICKETS ARE $5.00 A PERSON.   tOURS WILL RUN 1 BUS EACH HOUR (12, 1, 2, 3)

vIP tOURS OF THE TOWER & DIESEL SHOP WILL BE $30.00 A PERSON WITH TOURS EACH DAY WITH TWO BUSES: fRIDAY, JUNE 24TH WILL BE AT 4 P.M., SATURDAY, JUNE 25TH AT 4 P.M. SUNDAY, JUNE 26TH WILL BE AT 1 P.M.  THERE WILL BE A LIMIT OF 32 PEOPLE ON EACH BUS.

 

Knox County Scenic Drive First two weekends in October

 

We will not be at the scenic drive this year

but the museum will be open

from 12 noon to 4 p.m. both weekends.
