Honoring the History
of the Railroad

And all those people whose lives were entwined with it.

This is the president of the museum, Mary Godsil.  The museum will not be opening until June 2nd.  Our governor has extended the stay in place order until May 30th.  As a tourist spot we can't safely open up during a stay in place order.  We will see you in June.  email us at grrm211@gmail.com

Bringing Diesel and Steel to Life

At the Galesburg Railroad Museum, we are dedicated to gathering and preserving artifacts, historical documents, data, letters, accounts, and other articles related to the history of the local railroad. We are indebted to the many kind people who have donated memorabilia for exhibition. Through our vast collection, we hope that those who visit our museum will learn about railroading and the people whose lives were entwined with it.

We offer tours by appointment, and our quality gift shop is stocked with various items for any railroad or history enthusiast.
